May 26, 2016  By AmesburyTruth

May 26, 2016 – AmesburyTruth, a premier manufacturer of window and door components for residential and commercial applications, has developed plans with Ryan A+E, Inc. to construct a center of excellence facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  The new state-of the-art building will enable the design, development, testing, and manufacturing for window and door components. The new facility will positively position AmesburyTruth for future growth.

“Building construction continues to see sustained recovery while the demand for windows and doors will likely accelerate over the next five years,” said Mike McCann, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We are making a significant investment for the future of our business, and establishing centers of excellence throughout North America ensures AmesburyTruth will continue delivering innovative products to the window and door industry.”

A center of excellence at AmesburyTruth will offer cross functional operations including human resources, engineering, manufacturing, information technology, product management, distribution, supply chain, and customer service. Key competencies at the new Sioux Falls facility will include research and development, tooling design, tooling development, 3D printing, injection molding, stamping, assembly, and kitting. A certified American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) test lab will be a key asset to ensure products meet design requirements at our newly designed center of excellence.

Construction is expected to start in May 2016 and scheduled for completion by year’s end. In December, AmesburyTruth will begin to relocate operations from its present locations at 620 East 54th Street North, Sioux Falls, and 515 Noid Road, Canton, South Dakota, to the new site location, which is south of West Madison Street and west of North Ebenezer Ave. in Sioux Falls. The new location is conveniently located one-half mile west of Interstate 29, which will facilitate efficient access for trucks dropping off raw materials and picking up finished goods.
