Ministry of Labour announces changes to JHSC Certification Training

February 13, 2019  By OSG

Feb. 13, 2019 – The Ontario government recently announced plans to change the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification Training program standards. The planned changes will:

  • Allow Part I of JHSC Certification Training to be delivered online, in addition to the 3-day in-person option that is currently available
  • Extend the window to complete Part ll from six months to one year
  • Eliminate the option to apply for an extension to complete Part ll

The Ministry of Labour has not announced when the new standards will come into effect. Until they do, the current in-class JHSC Certification Training is the only way for workers or management to become certified.

We’re looking forward to offering an online option for our top-rated JHSC Certification Part I Training. OSG has been helping organizations leverage the benefits of online training for more than ten years. Thousands of Canadians are already enjoying the convenience and effectiveness of our accessible online training.
