October 25, 2018  By Westeck Windows & Doors

Oct. 25, 2018 – Deceuninck North America’s Revolution XL Tilt & Turn window is now a certified Passive House Component, representing the global pinnacle of high-performance sustainability.

As the leading standard in energy efficient building and construction, Passive House Institute principles are based on performance standards that can create heating- and cooling-related energy saving of up to 90 percent.

Deceuninck’s Revolution XL Tilt & Turn Passive House Edition window offers high thermal and acoustical performance as well as compression seal technology, which delivers exceptional resistance to air and water infiltration. It is ideal for the remodeling replacement and new construction
markets.

“We developed the Revolution XL Tilt & Turn Passive House Edition window to support our customers who are following Passive House building design principles for residential and commercial projects,” said Filip Geeraert, president and CEO, Deceuninck North America. “The Passive House certification further demonstrates our commitment to building a high-performance home through innovation, design and sustainability.”

Westeck, a North American manufacturer that produces doors, patio openings and windows for the custom home market, is known for designer friendly products that are a popular choice for modern and contemporary styled projects.

As the company looked to the future, it needed a window system supplier that could deliver a Passive House certified window. The Revolution XL Tilt & Turn Passive House Edition was a perfect fit.

“Deceuninck was able to look toward future trends and work collaboratively so that our goal became their goals,” said Neal Turner, General Manager, Westeck Windows and Doors. “Deceuninck introduced and connected our team with their key personnel and promoted accountability during development and implementation of the Passive House certified window.”

The Revolution XL Tilt & Turn Passive House Edition configurations use a limited number of PVC profiles – providing flexible design, manufacturing ease and reducing inventory. Its low profile styling has minimum bulkiness while offering maximum daylight. It is available in a broad range of architectural colors, external metallic finishes and internal wood grain patterns.
