Eakes to present at FenCan Spring Conference
Jon Eakes, known to some as CBC's Mr. Chips in the late '70s, will present a nationwide window installation discussion following up on initial research done at the National Research Council from 2005 to 2013. Eakes has been leading research into new window installation methods aimed at reducing water ingress around sills.
The NRC has raised questions about water penetration and cold climate window installations. Jon believes that in studying the old and new complimentary research we can find a way to have easier, less expensive and more durable window installations in our cold climate.
Eakes' presentation will take place at the Fenestration Canada Spring Conference taking place June 3 - 6 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.
