Fenestration Manitoba to field all-star lineup for virtual AGM

June 18, 2020  By Fenestration Manitoba

Fenestration Manitoba will host an online version of its annual general meeting June 24 at 5 pm. The free Zoom event is open to all but registration is capped at 100.

FenMan director and event organizer, Al Dueck, commented, “2020 has brought us new challenges and opportunities and we need to take advantage of them.”

The meeting will kick off with Patrick Flannery of Fenestration Review interviewing four prominent Manitoba industry people: Al Babiuk, president of Loewen Windows; Aynsley Dueck, operations manager at Duxton Windows and Doors; Laverne Dalgleish, principal at Building Professionals; and Stephen Segal, president of Polar Windows. The discussion will include an examination of how COVID-19 has impacted the market, the rapid evolution of energy codes in Canada and a look into the future.

The AGM will then have a series of intense, short five-minute presentations from C.D. Howe Institute economist Glen Hodgson; marketing guru, Jeff Swystun; Continuous Improvement leader/educator, Ian Marshall; Fenestration Canada president, Terry Adamson; and installation testing leader, Rob Spewak.

Next, breathlessly moving forward, there will be several exciting new product rollouts from FCI, Everlast and AGM (still room for a couple more innovators to be added). Each presentation will take just two to three minutes to leave everyone excited about their latest offerings for the industry.

Finally, excitement will reach its peak with the real purpose of the event: the AGM meeting formalities.

The live online event will be complemented with a short real-world beer/wine/cheese “mini-celebration” at the host site at 2131 Henderson in Winnipeg, outdoors if weather permits. RSVP to Nancy at FenMan if you plan to attend in person.
