April 28, 2016 – All Weather Windows has been named one of Canada’sBest Managed Companies for the eighth consecutive year.

Sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, the National Post, Queen’s School of Business, and MacKay CEO Forums, Canada’s Best Managed Companies recognizes Canadian-owned companies with revenues over $10 million that demonstrate sustained growth, strong financial and management performance, and overall organizational success.

The designation ensures All Weather Windows will retain the Best Managed Platinum Club status it earned in 2015. The Platinum Club is the program’s highest recognition.

“As always, we are honoured to receive this recognition and to be included alongside Canada’s best managed companies,” said Richard Scott, President and Chief Executive Officer at All Weather Windows. “We’re especially proud of the recognition this year, which has presented a number of organizational and economic challenges that we’ve had to overcome. It reflects our commitment to manufacturing top-quality commercial and residential window and door products and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace while responding to shifting economic challenges.”

In 2015, All Weather Windows made a number of operational and strategic changes that have positioned it for continued success despite ongoing economic uncertainty, including some important strategic acquisitions. These acquisitions have allowed All Weather Windows to achieve economies of scale within the family of companies, and improve overall customer service by expanding on products and solutions. All Weather Windows has also introduced leading-edge enterprise resource software to streamline sales and service and created new key positions focused on implementing Lean manufacturing practices and supply chain management.

Established in 1993, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs that recognizes Canadian companies that have implemented world-class business practices and created value in innovative ways. Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel on how they address various business challenges, including new technologies, globalization, brand management, leadership, leveraging and developing core competencies, designing information systems, and hiring the right talent to facilitate growth.

“Companies that earn Platinum Club status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program are true leaders in the Canadian marketplace,” said Jon Hountalas, Executive Vice-President, Business Banking, CIBC. “They exemplify strong vision and leadership, a sustained commitment to growth and innovation, and ongoing dedication to their corporate values.”

This year’s winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award, along with the Gold Standard winners, Requalified and Platinum Club members will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 12, 2016.
