Nov. 8, 2013 – Reginald Pollard, chairman of Pollard Windows, has named Karen Pollard-Josling president and Gary L. Pollard director of business development. Pollard said the appointments are in keeping with the family’s commitment to building the business to serve the new construction and replacement window market for years to come.

Pollard-Josling graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Before joining Pollard Windows, she worked for two years in market research and the development of business plans. Pollard-Josling has been with the company for 23 years. She started as a marketing representative working with the former president, Michael Pollard, and worked her way up to marketing manager. She will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company.

Gary Pollard began working full time at Pollard Windows 30 years ago after completing a Business Diploma program at Sheridan College. He has worked as a sales consultant, service manager and most recently has been head of the U.S. office for 20 years. Gary will be working with Pollard-Josling and the executive team to identify new potential business and build relationships with industry groups.

Pollard Windows is a third generation family business, co-founded by Norman and Reginald Pollard. The Pollard family arrived in Canada in 1947 ready to embrace a new life. Norman Pollard, a skilled carpenter, taught his wife and children everything he knew about woodworking. And in 1948, the family business was born. The Pollard formula for success was simple: work hard, reinvest in new technology, and give customers more for their money. Today, Pollard operates out of a 350,000 square foot plant and is recognized as a leader in window and door manufacturing technology.
