Marvin acquires TruStile Doors

May 6, 2015  By Marvin Windows and Doors

May  6, 2015 – The Marvin Companies is pleased to announce that it has acquired 100 percent ownership of TruStile Doors, LLC.  TruStile, headquartered in Denver, CO, is a leading manufacturer of high quality made-to-order architectural stile and rail doors, servicing the high-end residential and commercial construction markets.  Much like Marvin has done in the window and patio door industry, TruStile has established itself as a leader in the architectural door industry by providing a very high quality product with a wide variety of material and design options.

TruStile was founded in 1995 to fill a need in the marketplace for a dependable source for high-quality doors that could be easily specified to match any architectural style or application. With a very similar go-to-market approach, both Marvin and TruStile’s products are regularly specified by the architectural and design community due to their differentiated quality and market-leading design options. Both are then purchased by custom builders and contractors through a national network of independent building products distributors and dealers, many of whom sell both Marvin windows and TruStile doors today.

“TruStile is an outstanding company with a proven track record of quality and craftsmanship that aligns with our values and premier positioning in the marketplace,” says Dan Marvin, Vice President of Business Development, The Marvin Companies.  “The addition of TruStile to our family of brands will expand our product portfolio into other building products categories, and will allow us to combine our knowledge and resources to take advantage of new opportunities that will grow all of our brands successfully.”

Marvin plans to run TruStile as a separate business unit within The Marvin Companies.  There will be no changes made to the way that TruStile currently services its national network of dealer partners and TruStile’s current senior management team, led by President and CEO Scott Schmid, will continue to run the company from its Denver, CO headquarters.

“We are very excited about becoming part of The Marvin Companies,” says Schmid.  “We have long admired Marvin as a company and believe that both companies share similar values and approaches to the market.  Many times, if there are TruStile doors in a home we find that the home also has Marvin windows. Combining with Marvin will enable us to accelerate our plans and better achieve our long-term vision. I can’t imagine a better partner for TruStile than Marvin. ”
