Jan. 2, 2013 Quanex Building Products Corporation’s insulating glass producer, Edgetech UK, was awarded the G12 Component Supplier of the Year Award during a November 23 ceremony in London. Dec. 13, 2012 - Fenestration Canada has announced that Richard Laflamme passed away on November 30 at the Hôtel Dieu in Quebec City. He was 55 years old. The Laflamme family is encouraging donations to palliative care research

Dec. 4, 2012 - Farley Windows and Doors has received protection from its creditors under the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) in a court order dated Nov. 30. The order suspends Farley's obligations to pay employees and suppliers until Jan. 11, 2013.

Nov. 29, 2012 Masonite International Corporation has announced that it has completed the acquisition of all of the capital stock of Lemieux Doors, based in Windsor, Que. Founded in 1990, Lemieux is known for its broad range of high quality panel and French wood doors and its market leading service proposition. Lemieux employs approximately 150 people and annual revenue exceeds $40 million. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
