May 27, 2015 - The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) is set to release a bulleting that will recommend that bid calling authorities require the listing of major trades, critical subcontractors and subcontractors with a significant value to the contract price in bids. This is a positive and necessary change that increases transparency and accountability in Canada's construction industry while creating greater stability in the work environment for trade contractors. The National Trade Contractors Coalition of Canada (NTCCC) supports the move and is encouraging CCA to continue its productive and balanced review of standard practices.
May 26, 2015 - Some who have attended Windoor in the past are receiving emails like the one pictured claiming to offer accommodation on behalf of Windoor. The emails come from "CBS International." Show organizers wish to inform the industry that they have no arrangement with CBS or any other organization to offer hotel reservation services and that these emails are likely fraudulent. Windoor attendees are strongly encouraged to deal directly with their hotel of choice to make reservations.
