Reflections on WinDoor

December 10, 2018  By Al Dueck Duxton Windows and Doors

The first visit to Quebec City in 36 years . . and only to find an absolutely gorgeous winter setting in old Quebec City, upper and lower! A visit to another window equipment supplier – Protomach – and a set of deeper insights into another Canadian family success story. Engagement and insights through several important Fenestration Canada committees – Technical and Fabricator Council.

A bus tour of the winter Christmas streets of Quebec City (where else to find a “traditional” German Christmas market??) as well as the introduction to the amazing Chappelle chapel along with hundreds of fellow members of the Canadian window and door manufacturing industry.

Interesting dining outings in old Quebec . . from lunch at La Chic Shack to supper at Ancienne Canadienne with industry members.

A day on the WinDoor exhibition floor, exploring new product and service offerings and further interaction with a wide range of suppliers and other window and door manufacturers.

Finally, “bookended” with a visit to another supplier in Toronto en route HOME to WinterPeg!

All, while enjoying a return visit to our “honeymoon destination” 36 years ago with my best friend and wife, Arlene!
