Jan. 16, 2013 – Tiltco, a leading Toronto-based window and door manufacturer serving the Canadian, U.S. and the Caribbean markets, has announced the release of its Eplus+ window and door series. The Eplus+ series was officially released for purchase January 14th, 2013, bringing the importance of environmental sustainability and the idea of innovation to create an intelligent solution to the forefront.

One innovation in addition to the launch of the new line for Tiltco is framing made with a new type of PVC. The PVC is tested to American Architectural Manufacturers Association standards to have the same structural strength as galvanized steel. Tiltco has developed a state-of-the-art product line solution with more modern hardware technology and an attractive aesthetic design. Tiltco proposed a new concept when steering in a new direction for increased energy efficiency. The Eplus+ series eliminates the steel reinforcement which allows for larger, stronger framing with a higher amount of strength while lowering the overall weight of the product and significantly increasing thermal performance. The extrusions retain the same welding and machining characteristics as regular PVC, and come with full multi-cavity thermal breaks. By implementing this technology, Tiltco meets and exceeds the needs and expectations of consumers and optimizes the processes associated with the manufacture of their windows and doors.

“It is to innovate and innovate and sometimes you can overdo it,” says Jay Madha, president of Tiltco. “In North America, we certainly do not overdo it, but they can. For us it is about constantly innovating through our design and through technology.”
