May 12, 2016 – Weiser has announced the launch of its Uptown and Downtown deadbolts, the most slim, stylish and secure deadbolts in its product portfolio. The contemporary deadbolts are the first of their kind, featuring a low profiledesign and the latest version of Weiser patented SmartKey security.

“We responded to the market need for a high security yet stylish deadbolt that complements contemporary door hardware,” says Steve Kolobaric, Marketing Manager of Weiser. “With guidance from builders, architects and designers, we developed a lock that meets these design cues and provides the security their customers want.”

Slim, Stylish Design
Uptown, a slim, round deadbolt, and Downtown, its square counterpart, are the perfect home accents for the style-conscious consumer. With a low-profile and half-inch projection from the door, the deadbolts can bring a unique touch to any home. The deadbolts fit all standard door sizes, giving all homeowners the ability tohave a custom look while maintaining simplicity and affordability.

Advanced Security
Uptown and Downtown meet the highest-rated residential security standards available inthis modern style and are rated ANSI Grade 1. The deadbolts also feature the latest version of Weiser patented SmartKey security, which provides strong resistance against torque attacks, passes the most stringent lock-picking standards (UL 437, par 11.6.) and utilizes BumpGuard™ to prevent lock bumping. Uptown and Downtown will be the first deadbolts available for purchase with the latest SmartKey security.

Uptown and Downtown deadbolts will be available for purchase in Spring 2016. The Weiser contemporary product portfolio, including Halifax, Milan and Lisbon levers, is available for purchase today at select retailers.
