The Everlast Altitude Plus window series sets a higher standard for aluminum windows.  This window features extruded aluminum profiles interior and exterior connected to a thermal insulation system called the Performance Core, representing the core of the window. The Performance Core is a new, proprietary, engineered material offering improved dimensional stability and higher deflection temperatures resulting in increased strength. Also featuring mitered corners assembled with gaskets and corner keys all crimped together, this window series has achieved Energy Star certification. Low profiles make this an ideal window for today’s modern homes. Altitude Plus also meets the CW classification, meaning mid-rise buildings with institutional application. It provides the possibility of multiple assembly and opening configurations. Available in casement, awning or fixed window, combination windows may be achieved using either structural mullions with continuous frames or modular construction. The frame depth is 114 or 152 millimeters. The standard sash depth is 73 mm with a height of 44 mm and designed for 31-mm glazed units. Mullions are 116 mm deep.

The Erdman high-speed Dura line produces IG vertically in a fashion that nearly doubles the speed of traditional vertical lines.  Vertical production eliminates the need to tip a unit up to four times in the production sequence, saving time, reducing injuries, qualifying more operators for service and minimizing breakage. Total labour for the Dura high-speed line is three to four operators per 1,000 units per shift instead of eight to 10 operators per 1,000 units on a traditional line. Speed comes along with other innovations and benefits including reduced floor space, reduced labour and a higher-quality product.

The GML 5000S machining centre from Protomach can handle PVC, aluminum and wood. The machining envelope can take up to two 11-inch wide pieces by using independent clamping cylinders. Maximum piece length is 160 inches. A measuring tool at the machining head compensates for variations in material thickness. The GML 5000S is controlled by a Termicom industrial computer with a resistive touchscreen, using a Windows operating system that makes for easy programming and data transfer. The machine features three programmable axes: X is rack and pinion, Y and Z are worm gear. Four machining tools with Elte electric spindles are located on the machine head. Four manual vices with visors and measuring tape run the length of the machine. The GML 500S comes with a light curtain with fencing on the sides and rear for maximum safety. It will accommodate garage door panels up to 34 inches wide. Options include custom jigs available in anodized aluminum or Delrin; a 90-degree spindle motor to work side faces.; a cutting  saw blade; automated vices using servo motors with rack and pinion gears; loading and unloading at the end of the machine via automated vices; doubled machine length and the use of two zones; and an enclosed cabinet around the machining head.

Painting windows has never been so easy. The Mauri Macchine (Giardina Group) spray machine 1VE-300-Eco is an optimal solution to coat of all kinds of extruded profiles such as vinyl windows, patio doors or aluminum window profiles. The system is comprised of an in-feed motorized roller conveyor with adjustable side guides; a closed compact-spray machine; and an out-feed motorized roller conveyor.

The spray machine is complete with a front door and a suction fan with two stages of filters resulting in a safe and eco-friendly solution. The coating is applied by a group of four stationary spray guns, located inside the machine and mounted on adjustable supports to spray at any angle. The guns point downwards into a Teflon-coated stainless steel collecting tank mounted on castors for easy extraction and cleaning. The profile, while entering the spray area, is detected by a sensor that activates the spray guns and stops them once the profile is through. The machine can be equipped with an optional pressurizing system in order to push the overspray downwards into the collecting tank, so less cleaning is required. A special masking system inside the spraying area permits only the desired area of the profile to be coated. All functions of the machine are managed by an electronic PLC together with a touchscreen interface. Big dimensions, high air flow and top-quality materials make the 1VE-300-Eco an heavy duty and long life-expectancy machine.
