Jan. 31, 2013 – Quanex Building Products has announced that Thomas L. Herriges has joined the company as general manager of its window and door systems business, effective Jan. 28.

Building Products has announced that Thomas L. Herriges has joined
the company as general manager of its window and door systems business, effective Jan. 28. Herriges will
oversee all of the window and door systems and report to Dave Petratis, Quanex president and CEO.
"I am very excited about
the outstanding experience that Tom will bring to Quanex and our window and
door system operations," said Petratis. "He has excellent knowledge
of world class manufacturing processes to guide our teams in all areas of
operations. He has a long history of successes in product development, customer
service and manufacturing improvements through lean methodology."
Herriges was previously director of
operations for Honeywell International/Autolite and manufacturing and supply
chain manager for 3M Manufacturing and Supply Chain Services. Tom graduated
with honours from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and earned his MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business
at the University of California, Irvine.
