June 3, 2014 – Fenestration Canada will be introducing a round table session for fabricators at the Winnipeg meeting on Wednesday June 12. The objective is to obtain further input from fabricators on the issue of NAFS compliance and implementation challenges.
The idea is to take the mystery out of NAFS and develop a practical approach and guide for use by fabricators. Our plan is to compile information based on input from fabricators for a NAFS FAQ section on the association’s website. Jean-François Kogovsekof Maxam Marketing will facilitate the session on Thursday, June 12th at the Fort Garry Hotel. The Fabricators’ Council meeting starts at 11:15 AM in the Gateway room and the Round Table Session will start at 12:45 PM in the same room. Both the meeting and round table session are open to Fenestration Canada fabricator members only. There are currently 25 fabricators registered for the Winnipeg AGM, with expectations that the number could surpass 30.
“This is one of the largest numbers in recent memory and seems to be reflection of the issues in front of the window and door manufacturing industry as well as the agenda content.” says First vice-president, Al Dueck of Duxton Windows and Doors.
Companies who are not currently members of the Fabricators’ Council but plan to attend the Round Table session are asked to notify Denise: denise@fenestrationcanada.ca with their participation intentions as seating is limited.
