Vinyl siding controversy

Oct. 2, 2014 – Delegates at the recent Glass Association of North America fall conference in Toronto viewed a video produced by the U.S. vinyl siding institute addressing recent complaints of vinyl siding melting. The video points the finger squarely at low-E glass, essentially claiming that the increased heat reflection from low-E is to blame for the problem. GANA delegates said the video’s claims oversimplified the problem and the association plans its own educational presentation on the matter.
