Jan. 9, 2015 – Window, door and skylight installers in Manitoba are invited to come out of the cold Jan. 28 for a day of training with David Mitten, executive director of the Siding and Window Dealers Association of Canada. Mitten will offer the Fenestration Installation Technician (FIT) course from 8:30 to 3:30 at the Red River College Notre Dame campus in Winnipeg. The session is presented by Fenestration Manitoba.

CSA FIT Level 1 training provides technical theory and practical knowledge on windows, doors and skylight installation. Course materials are included in the registration fee. Registration is $300 for Fenestration Manitoba members and $600 for non-members.

“A lot of people walk into this course telling me they have been installing windows and doors for a long time and they know everything there is to know,” says Mitten, “but at the end of the day they always admit that they learned something.”
